Unifeeder announces winter surcharge 2015/2016 for St. Petersburg and Ust Luga
During the coming winter period winter surcharge will be Euro 90 per teu to/from St. Petersburg and Ust Luga as from 1 December 2015, Unifeeder said in its press release.
The surcharge is to cover for the heavy weather and ice conditions, seasonal increases in the local tariffs as well as increased vessels costs. Every winter, Unifeeder forced to charter in additional vessels to compensate for lost voyages, and the significant increase in time charter levels experienced this year leaves us with no option than to increase the winter surcharge. Cargo mix/heavier weights are other factors that have significantly changed.
Unifeeder Russian services include four St. Petersburg terminals FCT, PLP, CTSP/A4, Seafishport plus Ust Luga and three hub ports (Hamburg, Bremerhaven, and Rotterdam).
