Throughput of Oktyabrsk seaport (Ukraine) down 2% to 5.60 mln t in 10M’15
In January-October 2015, specialized seaport Oktyabrsk (Ukraine) handled 5.60 mln t of cargo (-2%, year-on-year), Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority says.
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo (oil products) totaled 13,000 t (against 380 t a year ago). Transshipment of dry cargo up 2.7% to 4.42 mln t, chemical and mineral fertilizers – 614,000 t (-38.1%), grain – 1.82 mln t (+9.5%), construction materials – 1.04 t (+ 91.4%), packaged cargo – 1.16 mln t (-16.5%) including 1.08 mln t of rolled metal (-19.3%).
Specialized seaport Oktyabrsk was founded in 1965. It covers the territory 178.8 hectares and has 7 berths with total length of 1.53. The port is able to accept vessels of up to 250 m in length, up to 40 m in width and up to 80,000 t in deadweight. Oktyabrsk seaport can handle up to 5 mln t of general cargo per year.
