Throughput of Chinese ports up 2.4% to 9.54 bln t in 10M’15

In January-October 2015, the ports of China increased their throughput by 2.4%, year-on-year, to 9.54 bln t, says the Ministry of Transport of the Government of the People's Republic of China. In the accounting period seaports of China handled 6.6 bln t (+1.5%), river ports – 2.98 bln t (+4.4%).

Container throughput climbed 4.4% to 174.11 mln TEUs including 155.9 mln TEUs in seaports (+4.4%) and 18.21 mln TEUs in river ports (+9.1%).
