Today a counterterrorist exercise was held onboard the NF major ASW ship Vice Admiral Kulakov, which is carrying out long range mission in the Red Sea, says press center of RF Defence Ministry. On-duty watchmen and marines of the anti-terrorist group took part in it.
During the exercise, such missions as interception of a suspicious ship and its checking by means of a Ka-27 helicopter and speed boats were practiced.
One of the exercise tasks was to locate and destroy a training naval mine.
Currently the ship is passing the Red Sea. The Vice Admiral Kulakov has covered over 6,500 miles since the start of the voyage on October, 23.
The Vice Admiral Kulakov is going under the leadership of the Commander of the NF Kola flotilla Captain 1st rank Alexander Mashinetsky.
