Pilbara Ports Authority’s Board, at its meeting on 3 December 2015, decided to extend its price freeze on port shipping charges until the end of the 2016/17 financial year.
This follows the previous year’s resolution to hold charges at current levels for the Port of Port Hedland and the Port of Dampier until at least 1 July 2016.
The Board’s decision has been made in the interests of port customers and has been made possible as a result of productivity gains through port efficiencies and increased volumes.
A small number of other port charges will increase in line with existing contractual arrangements.
