Ships of the Caspian flotilla returned to their permanent bases after combat duty

Ship formation of the Caspian flotilla consisting of three small-sized missile ships Grad Sviyazhsk, Uglich and Veliky Ustyug jointly with hydrographic ship Anatoly Guzhvin have returned to their permanent bases after combat duty, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.

The seamen have spent 15 days at sea practicing tasks of securing economic activity of the Russian Federation in the Caspian zone.

The ships have covered about 2000 nautical miles (about 3600 km) and conducted about 50 exercises of different type.

In particular, the crews practiced actions under the conditions of usage of mass destruction weapons by the enemy, as well as in-formation maneuvering.

Anti-mine exercise included artillery firing at a floating mine. The crews have also practiced in-movement replenishment of supplies.
