Topaz Energy and Marine, a leading international offshore support vessel company, has scooped two awards at this year’s Lloyd’s List Middle East and Indian Subcontinent awards evening in the categories of ‘Offshore and Energy’ and ‘Maritime Services’. Topaz was also Highly Commended for the Safety Award, the company said in its press release.
The awards recognise Topaz’s excellence in providing services to the offshore industry with entries judged on elements such as customer service, safety, environmental protection, cost management as well as vessel efficiency and reliability and company profitability.
Topaz’s long-term strategic focus of maintaining a younger fleet drives safe, environmentally-friendly and cost-effective services, resulting in higher utilization, which currently sits at 87% despite challenging market conditions. Its excellent safety track record, capital discipline and excellent operational health and safety track record have helped entrench its MENA and Caspian stronghold and facilitate its expansion into new markets in Africa.
This is the third award Topaz has received this year having been selected as the winner of the ‘The Safety and Quality Award’ at the 2015 Seatrade Maritime Awards in Abu Dhabi in November, which recognises the Company’s uncompromising focus on safety and its consistently strong safety performance over its 40-year history.
