Throughput of Chinese ports up 2% to 10.5 bln t in 11M’15

In January-November 2015, the ports of China increased their throughput by 2%, year-on-year, to 10.5 bln t, says the Ministry of Transport of the Government of the People's Republic of China. In the accounting period seaports of China handled 7.2 bln t (+1.1%), river ports – 3.3 bln t (+4%).

Container throughput climbed 4.2% to 192.1 mln TEUs including 172 mln TEUs in seaports (+3.7%) and 20.1 mln TEUs in river ports (+8.2%).
