Passenger traffic at inland water ways of Russia up 6.8% to 13.6 mln in 2015

In 2015, passenger traffic at inland water ways of Russia totaled 13.6 mln people (+6.8%, year-on-year), says press center of Federal Marine and River Transport Agency.

Cargo transportation by inland water ways of Russia in most basins fell by 3.3% to 120.6 mln t including 17.0 mln t of cargo transported to the Far North areas.

The volume of cargo bound for foreign countries totaled 27.1 mln t.
