Korolev major landing ship of the Baltic Fleet is crossing the Great Belt, Øresund, Kattegat and Skagerrak Straits, which are connecting Northern and Baltic Seas.
According to the press center of RF Defence Ministry, Korolev is to arrive in Baltiysk home base on January 22 after performing tasks in operational formation of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean.
The ship left the home base on May, 2015. Korolev MLS has passed more than 30,000 nautical miles. The crew has also paid several visits to Russian and foreign ports.
The long-range trip was held by the ship in accordance to the combat training plan of the Russian Navy. Demonstration of the St. Andrew’s Flag was one of the most important tasks of the ship.
