The Board of Directors of Orient Overseas (International) Limited has adopted a policy of announcing unaudited operational updates for Orient Overseas Container Line (“OOCL”) on a quarterly basis, the company said in its press release. This announcement sets out the unaudited operational update for OOCL for the fourth quarter of 2015 (ended 31s t Dec ember 2015).
The comparative figures for the fourth quarter of 2014 (ended 3 1s t Dec ember 2014 ) are also disclosed in this announcement. For the fourth quarter of 2015 (ended 31s t Dece mber 2015 ), total volumes were 2.0 % up from the same period last year. Total revenues de creased by 15.6 % to US Dollars 1 , 180.6 million. Loadable capacity in crease d by 6.0 %. The overall load factor was 2.8 % lower than the same period in 2014 . Overall average revenue per teu de creased by 17.3 % compared to the fourth quarter of last year.
For the full year of 2015 (ended 31s t Dec ember 2015 ), total volumes decreased by 0.2 % over the same period last year and total revenues recorded a 10.1 % drop. Loadable capacity in creased by 6.0 %. The overall load factor was 4.4 % lower than the same period in 2014 . Overall average revenue per teu decreased by 10.0 % compared to the same period last year.
