  Northern Fleet diesel-electric submarine Vladikavkaz arrived to the permanent base after a long cruise

  

  Northern Fleet diesel-electric submarine Vladikavkaz arrived to the permanent base – the Polyarny town – after a long cruise, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.

  According to the commander of the submarine, all the missions have been accomplished, the hardware is operable, the military personnel are in good health and after a short rest and replenishment of supplies they are ready for new task performance at sea.

  The seamen were met by representatives of the Commands of the Northern Fleet and the Kola flotilla as well as by their relatives.

  The diesel-electric submarine Vladikavkaz (project 877) is one of the most noiseless ones. They are designed for fighting against surface ships and submarines, as well as for mine laying missions. The submarines of such class have modern missile and torpedo armament onboard.
