In January-February 2016, the network of Russian Railways loaded 188.963,200 t, as much as in January-February 2015, the Company’s press center says.
In the reported period the railways shipped the following goods:
coal - 55.1 mln t (+3.1%, year-on-year); coke – 1.6 mln t (-4.3%); crude and oil products – 40.6 mln t (-5.9%); iron and manganese ores – 17.3 mln t (-1%); ferrous metal – 11.2 mln t (-8.5%); ferrous metal scrap – 1.2 mln t (- 26.1%); chemical and mineral fertilisers – 8.9 mln t (+6.4%); cement – 2.6 mln t (-14.8%); timber – 6.2 mln t (+0.9%); grain – 3.1 mln t (+0.5%); construction material – 16.9 mln t (+19.3%); non-ferrous ore and sulphur feedstock – 3.3 mln t (+6.3%); chemicals and soda – 4.2 mln t (-0.6%); industrial feedstock and moulded materials – 4.2 mln t (-1.4%).
In January-February 2016, freight turnover of Russian Railways climbed by 1.3% to 367.8 billion tariff ton-km. Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs was 473.9 billion ton-km (+1.4%).
In February, loading totaled 95.2 mln t (+2.9%, year-on-year), freight turnover - 184.9 bln tariff ton-km (+5.9%). Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs was 237.4 bln ton-km (+5.4%).
