Tanker fleet of VOLGOTRANS has opened the navigation season of 2016 at inland water ways of Russia, Aleksei Palgov, First Deputy to VOLGOTRANS Director General, told IAA PortNews.
On April 20th, the Company’s started taking on board the first cargo of light oil products at Rosneft’s berth in Samara to be carried by inland waterways to the offshore transshipment terminal of port Kavkaz.
This shipping season the tankers operator will deploy all of the fleet - 14 vessels.
Volgotrans LLC was founded in September 2009 and specializes primarily in the transport of goods by inland waterways. The company operates its own and chartered fleet: 5,400-tonne tankers for year-round navigation and 2,500 to 4,800-tonne tankers for seasonal operations.
