Reconstruction of Northern Dvina lock system sees completion of its first phase (photo)

Development and implementation of a comprehensive project on reconstruction of the Northern Dvina lock system, Phase I under the Federal Targeted Programme “Development of Russia’s Transport System in 2010-2020 was completed on May 26-27 in the Kirillov District of the Vologda Region. Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot) says the acceptance commission found the facilities comply with design documentation, environmental, firefighting and construction regulations as well as state standards.

The work included the construction of an administrative building and barrage dams, reconstruction of navigable channels and other facilities.

The works were performed by a general contractor AQUATIC CJSC ahead of schedule and with a proper quality.
