Throughput of port Azov up 8.8% to 3.72 mln t in HI’2016

In January-June 2016, seaport of Azov handled 3,725,000 t of cargo (+8.8%, year-on-year), the port Harbour Master Vladimir Bragin told IAA PortNews. 

In the reported period, transshipment of grain climbed 27.6% to 2.015 mln t. Transshipment of oil products declined by 7.7% to 1.172 mln t, coal – by 28.4% to 209,000 t.

In January-March 2016, internal turnover of Azov seaport climbed by 17.9% to 2,699,000 t, exports surged 40.4% to 2,178,000 t, imports fell by 13.8% to 116,000 t, short-sea traffic – by 33 % to 405,000 t, transit – by 9.4% to 1,026,000 t.

The number of arrivals/departures amounted to 1,447 / 1,453 against 1,390 / 1,407 registered in Jan-June'15.

Sea port Azov is located in the mouth of river Don.
