Astrakhan-based shipyard Lotus (United Shipbuilding Corporation) has delivered to the customer, Moscow River Shipping Company, a 6,610 DWT Volgo-Don Max class ship named Yakov Gunin, says the shipyard.
It is the second vessel of Project RST-25 built for Moscow River Shipping Company. The first tanker named Sergei Terskov was delivered to the customs in April 2016.
The project was developed by Marine Engineering Bureau. RST-25 is a self-propelled tanker with 6 cargo tanks for mixed river-sea transportation of crude oil and petroleum products, including gasoline, with no flash point limits and cargo temperature of 60°С, as well as vegetable oils and chemical cargo. Simultaneous transportation of 2 sorts of cargo is provided.
The shipyard is currently building two tankers of Project RST-25 for shipping company Volgotrans .
The Yakov Gunin (Hull No 25005) was laid down on September 6, 2011 and launched on September 26, 2015.
Lotus Shipyard OJSC specializes in construction of hulls for different vessels and in their complete fitting. From 2012, the company is managed by United Shipbuilding Corporation OJSC. The company’s major shareholders are United Shipbuilding Corporation OJSC, Caspian Energy Group OJSC, Arkhangelsk Region Government.
