In the first half of 2016, 304,500 tons of seafood caught in the Pacific Ocean were dispatched from the stations of Far Eastern Railways, 4.5% more than in the same period last year, says press center of Russian Railways.
Shipping fish in containers has experienced the highest and most stable growth of goods transported, rising to more than 151,000 tons, an increase of 20.2% compared to the first six months of 2015.
Our service of forming and dispatching faster refrigerated trains continues to be popular and enables shippers to deliver fish from the Pacific to Russia"s central regions as quickly as possible, without any loss of quality of the products.
Since the beginning of 2016, we have dispatched 36 such trains carrying a total of some 68,000 tons of marine biological resources from the stations of Far Eastern Railways.
