Rosneft has commenced the geochemical survey at its three licensed fields in the Barens Sea: Albanovsky, Varneksky and Zapadno-Prinovozemelsky. According to the company’s press release, total area exceeds 77,000 sqm.
Two research vessels will be involved.
Operator of the works in the fields is Rosneft’s subsidiary – RN-Shelf-Arctic LLC specializing in arranging of works at licensed fields of Russia’s Arctic shelf.
Rosneft was licensed for geological survey, prospecting and production of hydrocarbons at Albanovsky, Varneksky and Zapadno-Prinovozemelsky fields of the Barents Sea in 2013.
