The tall ship Stavros S Niarchos, a 60 metre twin masted brig, will once again call at the Port of Ipswich this weekend, says ABP.
The vessel, owned by the Tall Ships Youth Trust, is due to arrive to berth at Orwell Quay this Sunday and will stay in Ipswich until Wednesday 3 August.
The ship has a maximum crew of 67, consisting of six permanent crew, up to 12 volunteer crew and an additional voyage crew of up to 48.
ABP Short Sea Ports Director Andrew Harston said: ‘The Port of Ipswich is pleased to welcome back the Stavros S Niarchos to Ipswich’s historic waterfront.
“Not only is it great to see a traditional sailing fleet in the port, but this vessel provides it’s young crew with a great opportunity to develop team building skills, confidence and self-reliance.”
