Bunker sales at port Vladivostok in 8M’16 fell almost 3 times to 254,500 t

In January-August 2016, total sales of bunker fuel at port Vladivostok and its offshore terminals amounted to 254,500 t, down almost 3 times against 8M’15 (over 703,000 t), Administration of Seaports of Primorsky Territory and Eastern Arctic told IAA PortNews. 

From 1/3 to 1/4 of this volume was sold at the offshore terminals (eastern, western and internal).

In August, bunker sales from the port’s offshore terminals amounted to 9,400 t, at the port - 23,700 t.

As compared with August 2015, bunker sales dropped more than 2.5 times to 33,100 t (in 2015 - 85,000 t).

In the 8-month period, sales of heavy fuel oil totaled some 185,500 t, fuel containing material – about 57,500 t with diesel fuel accounting for the rest of the volume. Sales of diesel fuel have increased month-to-month, from 1,582 t in July to 1,742 in August.

In January- August, the number of bunkering operations declined from 2,416 to 2,216.
