Throughput of port Azov up 5.3% to 6.20 mln t in 8M’16

In January-August 2016, seaport of Azov handled 6,204,000 t of cargo (+5.3%, year-on-year), the port Harbour Master Vladimir Bragin told IAA PortNews. 

In the reported period, transshipment of grain climbed by 14.4% to 3,501,000t. Transshipment of oil products fell by 4.3% to 1,996,000 t, coal – by 31.3% to 234,000 t.

In January-August  2016, internal turnover of Azov seaport climbed by 10.1% to 4,255,000 t, exports surged by 42.3% to 2,805,000 t, imports fell by 13.8% to 158,000 t, short-sea traffic  - by 24.4% to 1,293,000 t, transit – by 4% to 1,948,000 t.

The number of arrivals/departures amounted to 2,434 / 2,437 against 2,446 / 2,453 registered in Jan-Aug'15.

Sea port Azov is located in the mouth of river Don.
