Tallink broke another record with August passenger volumes

According to AS Tallink Grupp the company transported 961 851 (+2.7%) passengers during August, reaching another record in passenger volumes after the record broken in July.

On Finland-Sweden routes, the passenger volumes increased by 0.9 percent to 289 581 passengers and on Estonia-Finland route by 4.9 percent to 521 048 passengers. On Estonia-Sweden route, the passenger volumes decreased slightly, by 0.7 percent to 101 081 passengers and on Sweden-Latvia route by 1 percent to 50 141 passengers.

The number of transported cargo vehicles rose by 7.4 percent to 26 775 and the number of passengers` vehicles by 3.5 percent to 125 911.

AS Tallink Grupp is one of the leading passenger shipping companies on the Baltic Sea, transporting up to 9 million passengers annually and employing almost 7000 people. In the beginning of 2017, the company will launch the environmentally friendly, LNG high speed ferry Megastar on Tallinn-Helsinki route.
