Throughput of port Kavkaz up 12% to 19.23 mln t in 8M’16

In January-August 2016, port Kavkaz handled 19,232,000 t (+12%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of port Kavkaz Yevgeny Tuzinkevich told IAA PortNews.

Off-harbour transshipment complex handled 5,511,000 t of export cargo (down 21%, year-on-year).

Transshipment of oil products increased by 53% to 8,657,000 t, sulphur and mineral fertilizers – up 112% to 2,193,000t, grain – down 1% to 2,282,000 t, LPG – down 15% to 117,000 t.

Exports from port Kavkaz fell by 28% to 306,000 t, imports – 4.3 times to 64,000 t. Transshipment of coastal trade cargo surged by 61% to 13,050,000 t.

Bunker sales at the port dropped by 39% to 301,000 t.

Passenger turnover climbed by 29% to 4,407,411 passengers. 

The number of calls increased by 36% to 18,103 calls.
