Murmansk Commercial seaport will transship 13.77 mln t of coal in 2016, a 1-pct increase, year-on-year, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Aleksei Tyukavin, First Vice-Governor of the Murmansk Region, as saying at the IX International Forum "Transport and Transit Potential".

Murmansk Commercial seaport was founded in 1994. MMTP operates 17 berths of total length of about 3 km. The waters depths allow the port to accommodate vessels with draft of 15.5 m and length of more than 265 m. 

In 2015 Murmansk Commercial seaport  transshipped 14.6 mln t of cargo including 13.6 mln t of coal (93.3% of total throughput). Over the year the company handled 291 vessels and 206,207 wagons.
