On September 27, 2016, Okskaya Sudoverf shipyard launched the service and crew boat of Project 21270 for the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. The shipyard says the ceremony was attended by representatives of RF Ministry of Defence, Central Marine Design Bureau “Almaz”, administration of Navashino district and Nizhny Novgorod region as well as business partners and personnel of the shipyard.
The vessel designed by Central Marine Design Bureau “Almaz” will operate in the Black Sea, in the coastal maritime zone staying within 50 miles from a place of shelter. The boat is to be used as a service launch and will be also deployed for inspecting the parades of RF Navy.
The contract for construction of the boat of Project 21270 was signed on May 22, 2015.

The modern Okskaya Shipyard JSC was established through privatization of the state enterprise Navashino Shipyard “Oka”.
