Throughput of Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port down 2.1% to 2.108 mln t in 9M’16

In January-September 2016, Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port handled 2,108,000 t (-2.1%, year-on-year), the stevedoring company says.

In the reported period, transshipment general cargo totaled 881,100 t (including 770,500 t of metal), 711,900 t of dry bulk cargo, 4,000 t of timber, 167,300 t of liquid bulk cargo and 22,200 t of other cargo.

The port’s container throughput totaled 33,354 TEUs. 

Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port OJSC is the largest enterprise of the regional port complex. Practically all means of transport and the basic part of the export-import freight traffic passing through the region, close in the port. In 2015, the port’s throughput totaled 2.781 mln t.
