In an $AU60 million investment, DP World Australia has ordered four new ZPMC super post-panamax container cranes to boost productivity and capacity through its east coast operations.
Scheduled for delivery in October 2017, DP World Australia’s Brisbane and Sydney terminals will receive one additional crane each, and the Melbourne terminal will receive two new cranes.
The new cranes will have the latest technology and environmentally friendly LED lighting. All cranes will be fitted with ergonomically designed cabins for improved driver comfort.
The design review was completed last week and long lead time components have been ordered and manufacturing will start in early 2017.
