Cargo volumes handled at the Port of Singapore in January-September 2016 climbed by 0.8%, year-on-year, to 440.64 million tonnes, the Port Authority statistics show.
The volume of oil cargo climbed by 9.5% to 162.1 million tonnes, while non-oil bulk cargo fell by 2% to 13.6 million tonnes.
The port’s container throughput dropped by 2.1% to 23.03 mln TEUs.
Singapore is the city-state located on an island in the South-East Asia. In 2015, container traffic at Port of Singapore reached 30,92 TEUs, total cargo throughput was 575 million tonnes.
