TSHD Severnaya Dvina, which operated at the approach channel and operational waters of seaport Sabetta from August 16 till October 1, dredged 220,000 t of material and moved it to the specified underwater dump area, says press center of FSUE Rosmorport.
The dredging was performed at 0.8 sq. km up to a seabed level of -15.1 m at the approach channel and -12.7 m at operational water area of the port.
“The works performed by TSHD Severnaya Dvina at the dredging side resulted in achievement of the design parameters according to specifications”, says the statement.
Having returned to her homeport of Arkhangelsk on October 7, the vessel commenced dredging operations at the Mudyug towers section of the channel together with Arkhangelsky dredger of Rosmorport’s Arkhangelsk Branch.
TSHD Severnaya Dvina is operated by the Arkhangelsk Branch of FSUE Rosmorport.
The dredger built at Danang, Vietnam based Song Thu Corporation's Song Thu Shipyard was laid down in November 2014 and launched in November 2015. Setting-up and adjustment of the vessel’s dredging equipment as well as water tests were completed by May 2016.
