Throughput of Ukraine’s seaports down 8.9% to 108.89 mln t in 10M’16

In January-October 2016, seaports of Ukraine handled 108,891,000  t of cargo (-8.9%), says press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

Transshipment of export cargo totaled 81.82 mln t (- 2.8%), imports – 13.418 mln t (- 9.8%), transit – 9.025 mln t (-34.9%), inland traffic – 4.627.

Container throughput in seaports of Ukraine totaled 498,080 TEUs (+27.8%, year-on-year).

State stevedores under the Ministry of Infrastructure handled 32.870 mln t (30% of total volume). Other port operators (mostly private operators) handled 76.021 mln t (70% of total volume) including 43.677 mln t handled via USPA berths (40% of total volume).
