In January-October 2016, seaport of Azov handled 8,341,000 t (+1.8%, year-on-year), the port Harbour Master Vladimir Bragin told IAA PortNews.
In the reported period, transshipment of grain climbed by 5.5% to 4,635,000 t, oil products – by 1.3% to 2,792,000 t. Transshipment of coal dropped by 40.3% to 291,000 t.
In January-October 2016, internal turnover of Azov seaport climbed by 1.6% to 5,493,000 t, exports grew by 25.3% to 3,392,000 t, transit – by 2.3% to 2,848,000 t. Imports fell by 15.9% to 203,000 t, short sea traffic – by 22.8% to 1,898,000 t.
The number of arrivals/departures amounted to 3,295 / 3,272 against 3,559 / 3,553 registered in Jan-Oct'15.
Sea port Azov is located in the mouth of river Don.
