Ice navigation restrictions come into effect at Big Port St. Petersburg from December 1

Due to deterioration of ice situation, subzero temperatures and ice forecasts, ice navigation restrictions come into effect at Big Port St. Petersburg. Order No 39-KP was signed by Harbour Master on 11 November 2016.

The following restriction come into effect at Big Port St. Petersburg and its approaches from 1 December 2016:

- vessels without ice class can sail in ice waters only when assisted by icebreakers;

- vessels with ice class (Ice1 and higher) can sail in ice waters independently when approved or assisted by icebreakers.
