Water transport carried 2.8 mln t of oil products from Rosneft’s Samara refineries, up 31% against previous navigation season

In the navigation season of 2016, water transport carried almost 2.8 mln t of oil products from Rosneft’s Samara group of refineries (Kuibyshev, Novokuibyshevsk and Syzran), up over 31%, year-on-year, says Rosneft.

Oil products were transported from the terminals of Samara refineries by vessels chartered by Rosnefteflot and Rosneft as well as by the company’s own fleet – Prime Shipping LLC.

Despite the reduction of the navigation period by a week (due to weather conditions), the companies managed to fulfill their plans on shipments of oil products by water transport.

Fiver berths on the Volga river are used for transshipment of oil product from Russia’s Samara refineries to river going vessels.

Tanker fleet of VOLGOTRANS was also deployed for transportation of oil products from Samara refineries.
