Ice navigation restrictions postponed at Big Port St. Petersburg

Ice navigation restrictions at Big Port St. Petersburg have been postponed by Harbour Master’s Order. ATB units are not allowed to sail in the water area of Passenger Port Saint-Petersburg from 13 December 2016.

The following restriction come into effect at the water area of the port and at the approaches from 16 December 2016 (when ice thickness reaches 10-15 cm):

- vessels without ice class can sail in ice waters only when assisted by icebreakers;

- vessels with ice class (Ice1 and higher) can sail in ice waters independently when approved or assisted by icebreakers.
