Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg spent RUB 6.1 mln on implementation of its social and environmental programmes in 9M’16

RUB 6,1 million was spent on implementation of CTSP’s (JSC “Container terminal Saint-Petersburg”, member of UCL Holding) social and environmental responsibility program during     the first nine months of 2016, the company says in a press release.

More than a half – 4,6 million – was spent on the corporate social responsibility program, including improvement of working conditions, compensations to employees for sports and leisure (2,3 million), health care services and sanatorium treatment (1,3 million) and additional newborn payments and financial aid to employees in difficult life situation (over 1 million).

RUR 1,5 million was spent on mitigating adverse environmental impact, including environmental monitoring, removal and disposal of production and consumer waste, development of compulsory environmental documents (RUR 800 000) and protection of water resources: wastewater treatment, maintenance of water treatment facilities and pumping stations of stormwater sewers (over RUR 700 000).

Container terminal Saint-Petersburg (member of UCL Port, stevedoring division of the international transportation group UCL Holding) is a modern container handling facility in the 4th district of the Big Port Saint-Petersburg. In 2015 the terminal handled 398,000 TEU.
