Throughput of Ukraine’s seaports down 8.3% to 120.71 mln t in 11M’16

In January-November 2016, seaports of Ukraine handled 120,718,000 t of cargo (-8.3%), says press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

Transshipment of export cargo totaled 91.039 mln t (- 2.8%), imports – 14.725 mln t (- 10.4%), transit – 9.874 mln t (-33.6%), inland traffic – 5.080 mln t.

Container throughput in seaports of Ukraine totaled 547,327 TEUs (+26.8%, year-on-year).

State stevedores under the Ministry of Infrastructure handled 35.854 mln t (29.7% of total volume). Other port operators (mostly private operators) handled 84.864 mln t (70.3% of total volume) including 48.587 mln t handled via USPA berths (40.2% of total volume).
