The Federal Agency for Fishery (Rosrybolovstvo) is ready to sign lease agreements for berths, quay walls managed by its affiliate NatsRybResurs with all major fish terminal operators, the agency official told IAA PortNews.
Rosrybolovstvo head Ilya Shestakov says that the lease agreement mandatory terms include the obligation of the lease holder to preserve the fish quays profile in certain quantities, to invest in refrigeration capacity and provide to fishing companies priority access to the facilities. Similar lease agreements have already been signed with fish ports of Nakhodka, Primorsky Krai, and Diomidovsky, Vladivostok).
"We will continue such tactics to make lease holders bound under these agreements to build required capacity and maintain dedication of the fishing ports. I believe that if we strike a deal with the other main terminals and fish ports then we surely will solve a big problem with poor infrastructure and lack of refrigeration facilities," Ilya Shestakov was quoted as saying.
