Dmitriy Rogozin: ‎NSR Administration could be a consolidator of transport development

It is planned that the Northern Sea Route Administration will be authorized to carry out measures for consolidation of transport development, the Russian government official said.

Dmitry Rogozin, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Arctic State Commission spoke at the meeting of the State Commission for Arctic Development in Moscow, December 13, 2016 and highlighted‎ that the NSR Administration should be not just a technical authority, but could ensure more freight flows to the region, negotiate with the companies involved.

"The NSR Administration has to be not just a service that finds certain freight flows, but the service that must organize, work to attract to the Northern Sea Route the world's leading carriers," Dmitry Rogozin was quoted as saying.

He also added that this work should be synchronized with shipbuilding programme of the Arctic vessels, including the shipbuilding complex "Zvezda" in Primorsky Krai.‎
