Russia’s seaborne freight turnover in 11M’16 up 10.1% Y-o-Y to 39.7 bln t-km – Rosstat

Russia’s Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) says seaborne freight turnover in January-November 2016 totaled 39.7 bln t-km, up 10.1% year-on-year.

In the reporting period, freight turnover of inland water transport grew by 4% to 62.3 bln t-km.

Turnover of railway transport climbed by 1.5% to 2.13 trillion t-km, motor transport – by 1.1% to 213.8 bln t-km, pipeline transport – by 1.7% to 2.25 trillion t-km.

In the 11-month period turnover of all types of transport in the Russian Federation grew by 1.7% to 4.70 trillion t-km.
