In January-November 2016, the port of Kaliningrad handled 10,615,100 t of cargo (-8%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo declined by 3% to 1,274,100 t including 18,500 t of mineral fertilizers (-63%) and 537,200 t of coal (+38%).
Transshipment of dry loose cargo increased by 8% to 3.76 mln t, transshipment of general cargo fell by 5% to 1,335,100 t.
The port’s container throughput increased by 6% to 171,555 TEUs.
Transshipment of cargoes carried by ferries totaled 1,121,300 t (-33%), liquid bulk cargo – 2.22 mln t (-21%) including 1,031,200 t of oil products (-33%), 676,800 t of crude oil (-8%) and 481,500 t of food cargo (-7%).
