Hapag-Lloyd hikes rates for EC North America - EC South America trade

Hapag-Lloyd will increase increase rates for all cargo (dry and reefer) from Canada and US East Coast ports. GRI will be effective as of February 19, 2017, the shipping company said in a news release.

The new rates to South America East Coast will be $85 per TEU.

Hapag-Lloyd is a leading global liner shipping company. Hapag-Lloyd AG emerged on September 1st, 1970 from the amalgamation of the two shipping companies Hamburg-Amerikanische Packetfahrt-Actien-Gesellschaft (Hapag / Hamburg-American Line) and North German Lloyd (NDL).
