RF Transport Ministry starts developing new List of Charges on IWW

The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation has started developing the new List of Charges for vessels at river ports and the List of Charges for using the infrastructure of inland water ways, which is to replace the Order dated 4 June 2009 (No 90), says the federal portal for legal information. 

Since that time, considerable changes have occurred in the system of river ports and inland water ways where there is a necessity for services of natural monopolies the prices of which are regulated by the government. At the same time, there have been revealed some parts of inland water covered by Order No 90 but where natural monopolies do not provide the mentioned services. 

Public discussion of the initiative will last till 19 April 2017. The new Order is expected to come into effect on August 2017.
