Throughput of port Kavkaz up 39% to 4.8 mln t in QI’2017

In January-March 2017, port Kavkaz handled 4.755 mln t of cargo (+39%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of port Kavkaz Yevgeny Tuzinkevich told IAA PortNews.

Off-harbour transshipment complex handled 1.191 mln t, up 2.3 times, year-on-year.

Transshipment of 22.7 times to 716,000 t, sulphur and mineral fertilizers – by 99% to 479,000 t. Transshipment of oil products declined by 1% to 1.286 mln t, LPG – by 42% to 42,500 t.

Exports from port Kavkaz grew 2.2 times to 295,000 t, imports - by 5% to 23,000 t, short-sea traffic -by 19% to 3.207 mln t.

Passenger turnover declined by 2% to 563,763 passengers.

Bunker sales at the port dropped by 23% to 40,600 t. 

The number of calls climbed by 11% to 4,531 calls.
