By navigation season of 2017, Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg signed about 200 agreements related to the port’s key activities including about 120 agreements with tour operators. Among them, there are 10 new companies, says press center of Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg «Marine Façade» PLC.
“When extending the agreements for the year of 2017 the company applied upward indexation of tariffs for transport infrastructure services, by 17% maximum, amid the growing passenger turnover and increased load on road network and checkpoints at the port. Meanwhile, tariff rates applied to key services including those of the port infrastructure remain unchanged from 2016,” says the port.
The port is currently in more than 20 agreements with ferry and cruise operators, the largest of them in terms of the number of calls are Carnival Corporation – 43%, Royal Caribbean & Celebrity Cruises – 16%, Mediterranean Shipping Company and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings – 11% and 7% accordingly.
Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg «Marine Façade» PLC is in the ownership of the city of St. Petersburg and is the largest passenger seaport in Russia. Construction of Marine Façade began in 2006. The port can accommodate cruise and ferry ships of up to 330 m long and with a draft of up to 8.8 m. The length and depth of new access channels - 10 km and 11 m, accordingly. The port operates seven piers. The quay-side length – 2,171.06 m.
