A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom, and Sergey Frank, President and CEO of Sovcomflot, took place at the Sovcomflot headquarters in St. Petersburg yesterday.
Gazprom says the parties addressed the ongoing and future cooperation in the marine transportation of hydrocarbons.
Sergey Frank showed Alexey Miller the simulation rooms at the Sovcomflot Group’s Training Center. The Center is outfitted with state-of-the-art simulators used for training in the whole range of Arctic maritime operations, including navigation at northern latitudes, ice navigation with and without an icebreaker escort, maintenance of production platforms, and mooring at ice-resistant terminals.
Sergey Frank briefed Alexey Miller on the effective operation of Sovcomflot’s tankers during the development of Gazprom’s Prirazlomnoye and Novoportovskoye fields.
