In January-May 2017, Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port handled 1,468,900 t of cargo, which is 34% up, year-on-year, the stevedoring company says.
In the reporting period, transshipment general cargo totaled 365,500 t (including 315,000 t of metal), 793,100 t of dry bulk cargo, 131,000 t of liquid bulk cargo, 15,000 t of other cargo and 6,300 t of timber.
The port’s container throughput totaled 18,045 TEUs.
Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port OJSC is the largest enterprise of the regional port complex. Practically all means of transport and the basic part of the export-import freight traffic passing through the region, close in the port. In 2016, the port’s throughput totaled 2.864 mln t.
