The Marshal Ustinov crew finished a complex of training exercises while carrying out a short sortie to the Barents Sea, says press center of RF Defence Ministry. There were carried out some exercises like repeling the simulated air attacks from various heights and directions. Also crew carried out using weapons, technical and radio frequency devices for the interception.
The cruiser crew accomplished antiaircraft missile firing at simulated air target and artillery firing at coastal target in the framework of the implementation of the planned activities of combat training.
The artillery and interception combat units have shown the high level of coordination and skills during the exercises. Two means of weapons were used while shooting - antiaircraft missile complex Kinzhal and main cruiser gun – AK-130 gun system.
Also crew practiced the second task, connected with survivability and sustainability of moving cruiser.
