Corvette ‘Sovershenny’: successful missile firing in the course of state tests

During the state tests, the newest Project 20380 corvette ‘Sovershenny’ successfully carried out missile firing using the main ship system at the Pacific Fleet’s combat training ranges, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.

Shooting was conducted at a sea ship stand, imitating the imaginary enemy’s surface warship. The ‘Uran’ system’s anti-ship missile successfully hit the designated surface target.

In the coming days, the ship will conduct artillery firing on surface and air targets.

The state sea trials of the corvette ‘Sovershenny’ will be held within a month. Upon completion of the sea part of the programme, the second part of the state tests will begin – that is the ship's revision. At the plant a control opening of mechanisms and devices will be carried out, specialists and members of the state commission will assess the overall condition of the corvette, its equipment and all available means aboard. After signing the transponder act with the customer, the Naval Flag will be raised in the ship and the corvette will enter in the Pacific Fleet’s strength.
