In January-June 2017, Russian seaports handled 348 mln t of cargo (+11.3%, year-on-year), says the press center of Association of Commercial Sea Ports.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo totaled 174 mln t (+10.8%) including 75.1 mln t of coal (+16.2%), 23.7 mln t of containerized cargo (+14.2%), 16.1 mln t of grain (+32.1%), 14.6 mln t of ferrous metal (+0.1%), 8.5 mln t of mineral fertilizers (+4.8%), 1.4 mln t of refrigerated cargo (- 4.8%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo grew to 210 mln t (+11.8%) including 128.9 mln t of crude oil (+16%), 71.6 mln t of oil products (+4.6%) and 7.1 mln t of liquefied gas (+10.4%).
In the reporting period exports totaled 298.7 (+8.0%), imports - 17.3 mln t (+13.0%), transit - 28.8 mln t (+17.4%), short-sea traffic - 39 mln t (+37.5%).
Operators of the Arctic Basin terminals handled 36.1 mln t (+68.3%) including 22.2 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+158.9%) and 13.9 mln t of dry cargo (+7.9%). The port of Murmansk handled 25.6 mln t (+78.6%), Varandei - 4.4 mln t (+10.2%).
The ports of the Baltic Sea handled 124.6 mln t (+6.9%) including 49.9 mln t of dry cargo (+15.2%) and 74.7 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+2.0 %). The port of Ust-Luga handled 50.9 mln t (+13.5 %), Primorsk - 31.3 mln t (-3.6 %), Big Port St. Petersburg - 26.0 mln t (+7.5%), Vysotsk - 9.1 mln t (+9.9%).
The ports of the Azov-Black Sea Basin handled 125.8 mln t (+11.1%) including 50.8 mln t of dry cargo (+11.2%) and 75.0 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+11.0%). The port of Novorossiysk handled 72.8 mln t (+11.2%), Tuapse - 13.4 mln t (+9.2 %), Kavkaz - 13.4 mln t (+10.5%), Taman - 7.5 mln t (+27.4%), Kerch - 4.3 mln t (+2.7%), Rostov-on-Don - 6.0 (+10.2) mln t.
Seaports of the Casppian Basin handled 1.7 mln t (-41.1%) including 1.2 mln t of dry cargo (-16.3%) and 0.5 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (-65.5%). The port of Makhachkala handed 0.5 mln t (-65.4%), Astrakhan - 1.0 mln t (-10.5%), Olya – 85,500 (-4.7%).
The ports of the Far East Basin handled 95.7 mln t (+5.4%) including 58.1 mln t of dry cargo (+8.1%) and 37.6 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+1.5%). Port Vostochny handled 34.8 mln t (+5.6%), Vanino - 14.9 mln t (-2.2%), Nakhodka - 12.3 mln t (+5.0%), Prigorodnoye - 8.6 mln t (+7.2%), Vladivostok -8.0 mln t (+16.9%), De-Castri – 6.1 mln t (-1.8%), Posiet – 4.0 mln t (-1.4%).
Association of Commercial Sea Ports (ASOP) set up in 1987 unites over 50 organizations and enterprises of Russia’s maritime transport. ASOP comprises commercial seaports, forwarding and agency companies, scientific research institutes and marine educational institutions. Operational results of Russian port sector are based on statistics reports and cover all stevedoring companies operating in the Russian Federation.
